Residents' Journal Friend/Fundraiser

On February 7, Residents' Journal hosted a friend/fundraiser to celebrate the launch of their redesigned website. More than 50 guests gathered at the Palette and Chisel Gallery on Dearborn Avenue to view the new website, to see the latest issue of our publication and to listen to former UYIJP students read their poetry and prose. Crystal Medina read a letter from her column 'Crystal Clear Views' which highlighted issues of violence and safety within her community. Jovan Gathings read his article about his excursion to Millenium Park and Quintanna Woodridge read her poem entitled "One Shot to the Head to the Heart".

Thanks to everyone who made this a special event, including Goose Island Brewery, Cabrini Connections and the Palette and Chisel Gallery.
